Looking for a conversation starter at your family or friends Holiday party this year? Make this delicious, melt in your mouth holiday dessert… Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake! Can you say: YUM, YUM, YUM! Everyone loves pumpkin pie and cheesecake, so why not combine them. Making everyone and their taste buds happy this Holiday season!
- 2 packages of room temperature cream cheese
- ⅔ cup sugar & ¾ cup of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 ½ tbsp flour
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 15 oz Pumpkin Puree
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- ⅛ tsp ground cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp nutmeg
- Store bought pie crust
OR if you are feeling very domestic you can make your own with:
- 8 ounces of graham cracker crumbs (regular or chocolate)
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- 8 tbsp melted butter
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- (mix all of the crust ingredients and press into a 9” pie pan)
- Whipped cream
- Cool whip
- Caramel Sauce
- Chocolate Sauce
#1 First things first, preheat your oven to 425*.
#2 Let’s start with the delicious cheesecake portion. Beat together the room temperature cream cheese and ⅔ cup of sugar until fluffy. Once fluffy, add one egg at a time. After all eggs are added to the mixture, sift flour and add vanilla extract, keep beating till all ingredients are mixed together. Scrape bowl with spatula and pour into the crust.
#3 Now for the pumpkin pie part, place the pumpkin, ¾ cup of sugar, salt, ground ginger, and nutmeg in a bowl and mix it all up. Add the eggs in one by one, once all mixed together pour over the cheesecake layer.
#4 Then bake this delicious pie for 15 minutes.
#5 Then turn down the oven to 350* and bake the pie for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes.
#6 Crack the oven door and leave the pie in the oven for 30 minutes. After those 30 minutes let the pie cool off for an additional 45 minutes on a cooling rack.
#7 Once, the pie is cool, place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
#8 Last part, best part – now add your favorite toppings!!
