Independence Day is right around the corner. Even though most firework shows have been cancelled this year due to the pandemic, that doesn’t mean you need to cancel the fun altogether. 4th of July is more than a spectacular firework display. It should be centered around your favorite people, food, and activities, while also remembering and appreciating that we live in a free country. God Bless America!

Check out these fun patriotic treats and festivities to create a memorable 4th of July!

Patriotic Themed Activities

Beaches, backyard pools, and cornhole are where the fun is at on the 4th of July, but why not try a new family activity this year!

American Flag Balloon Display

  • Red, White, & Blue Balloons in formation of the American Flag
  • Place on your fence or a separate wood board
  • Perfect for photo backdrops or just decorations

Fun note: turn it into a dart game by adding candy or paint in the balloons. ***If you decide to turn this into a dart game, we recommend you place the balloon display on a separate wood board and not your fence. AND please be careful!

DIY Patriotic Bowling

  • A Dozen Pop Bottles
  • Decorate The Pop Bottles Red, White, & Blue
  • Balls

Keep score or don’t keep score just enjoy the company around you.

Patriotic Squirt Gun Targets

  • Paper Plate Decorated Patriotic with Points on Each One

Set up the targets throughout your yard and time each person who runs through the course. Maybe the fastest time gets a prize!

We hope your day is filled with red and white stripes and blue and white stars! Everyone deserves a day filled with family and friends, creating lifelong memories, and an escape from reality. We hope you have a patriotic filled Independence Day! And once again, God Bless America!
